How to Get Panthalusin Palworld 1.0

Panthalus does not roam a normal habitat. Collect four Echobones, craft the Echoing Flute, and clear its timed quest encounter for a guaranteed capture.

Start the quest, collect every Echobone with the interactive map, then unlock the legendary encounter.

Start on the Deserted Islet

Speak to the Ancient Civilization Researcher on the Deserted Islet, north of the Twilight Dunes. The islet sits in the channel between Ice Wind Island and the southern ruins of the Astral Mountains. There is no tower-clear requirement, so you can begin as soon as you can safely reach the researcher.

You may collect all four bones before accepting the quest, then turn them in on your first visit.

Fly west to the giant whale skeleton and follow its spine to the skull. The Echobone is the glowing pickup on the skull.

Silent Echobone

Near Altar of the Windcaller

Cross the water south of the fast-travel point, passing the exposed ribcage and the level 55 Jormuntide. The pickup rests on a low bone at the rear of the skeleton.

Seafoam Echobone

Near Eternal Pyre Tower Entrance

Head east over the cliff toward the lava pools. The whale skeleton is below on the right, and the pickup is inside the skull on the near end.

Bring Level 2 Heat Resistance and keep Fire Pals stowed.

Tidewind Echobone

Near Land of Absolute Zero

Travel west over the cliff into the frozen lake. The skeleton head protrudes from the ice, with the glowing Echobone on top.

Bring at least Level 2 Cold Resistance for the Astral Mountains.

Craft the Echoing Flute
  1. 1Return to the Ancient Civilization Researcher. On a first visit, accept the quest and speak to the researcher again to receive the Faded Schematic.
  2. 2Use the Faded Schematic at any workbench to craft the Echoing Flute from all four Echobones.
  3. 3Bring the flute back to the researcher, finish the dialogue, and interact with the glowing symbols on the nearby stone to open the Panthalus encounter.
Beat Panthalus 10 minutes
  • Ride a high-level, fast-flying Pal. Nearly the entire arena is water, leaving ground Pals vulnerable and only one small island to stand on.
  • Bring late-game damage such as a Plasma Cannon or Multi Guided Missile Launcher; this is a legendary-tier fight even though the quest can be started early.
  • Keep moving in the air to clear the large water attacks and finish the health bar before the timer expires.
Reduce Panthalus to zero health. It collapses and gives you a guaranteed sphere capture, so save your effort for surviving the fight rather than boosting capture odds.
