Frequently asked questions
How do mutations work when breeding in Palworld?
Every produced egg has a 1% base mutation chance. Extravagant Vegetable Cake adds 2 percentage points, raising that egg to 3%. The 1.0 client sets the mutation talent minimum to 90 and its initial internal rank to 3. The exact native species-selection routine is not exposed in the tables, so this tool does not predict which species a mutation egg will hatch.
What do breeding cakes do?
Mushroom Cake adds 1–5 talent points to the offspring roll. Vegetable Cake produces two eggs per batch. Extravagant Vegetable Cake adds the same 1–5 talent bonus and raises mutation chance from 1% to 3%. Special Cake forces the child’s parent-passive inheritance count to four, or all available passives when the pool is smaller.
How are passive skills passed to a bred pal?
The normal inheritance roll chooses one, two, three, or four parent passives with 40%, 30%, 20%, and 10% probability. It then chooses that many from the unique combined parent pool. Special Cake overrides the count to four. Duplicate passives on both parents do not create extra entries in the pool.
Which passive skills are mutation traits in Palworld 1.0?
The current passive table marks five traits with AddMutationPal: Babysitter, Heavily Armored, Idiosyncratic, Immortality, and Skymarcher. The simulator exposes all five in its complete parent-passive picker.
